HAND
In collaboration with leading specialists, Medartis has developed the unique APTUS Hand fixation system for treatment of fractures, osteotomies and arthrodesis of the hand. To meet the requirements of the delicate structures of the hand, the various plate designs are adapted to the bone's shape. The implants portfolio offers different technologies, designs, and sizes to support early mobilization and active therapy.
WRIST
With the APTUS Wrist portfolio, Medartis offers implants with multidirectional and angular stable locking in different designs, lengths and widths for a volar, dorsal and/or lateral approach. The APTUS Wrist plates with TriLock technology are anatomically pre-contoured for stabilization of distal radius and distal ulna fractures and correction osteotomies as well as for arthrodesis.
FOREARM
Clinical Benefits: The plate system offers precontoured and straight plate designs for anatomical reduction of shaft fractures, a range of plate lengths to accommodate different fracture patterns, offset screw arrangements for easier fixation of small fragments and enhanced stability, tapered plate ends to help reduce peak stresses on the bone, and a consistent 2.8 mm screw diameter for simplified intraoperative handling.
ELBOW
Medartis offers a comprehensive range of plates, carefully matched to the complex anatomy of the elbow. The Medartis APTUS Elbow system enables fixation of fractures and osteotomies of the distal humerus, the radial head and the proximal ulna, in particular the coronoid and the olecranon. Thanks to the innovative TriLock technology these implants provide multidirectional angular stability, especially beneficial for the treatment of intraarticular fractures of the elbow.
RADIAL HEAD REPLACEMENT
The modular radial head replacement system offers versatile treatment options with interchangeable cementless and cemented stems surface for the cementless radial stem, multiple stem and head sizes, and various coupling offsets to accommodate different anatomical requirements and revision procedures.
SHOULDER
Fracture fixation demands a flexible and reliable system, which places the fracture at the heart of the treatment. The APTUS Clavicle System 2.8 provides anatomically contoured, purpose-shaped, plates designed to improve fit and support and enhance intraoperative efficiency. ANKLE
The APTUS Ankle Trauma System 2.8/3.5 provides low profile straight and anatomically precontoured plates for a variety of surgical approaches for treatment of fractures and osteotomies around the ankle.
FOOT
The complex function of the calcaneus and the stresses to which it is subjected require a robust design to ensure support. The three different sizes of plates and the multidirectional TriLock system enable surgeons to fix complex calcaneal fractures with a robust construction.
